Warm Wood Craftsman Home

This stunning craftsman remodel was completed in partnership with McGlashan Architecture. Rich woods and warm, deep colors define the classic Berkeley aesthetic. We worked with Mod Cabinetry to craft natural cherry cabinets with no added formaldehyde in the casework and low VOC finishes. We also added a CARB2 compliant engineered wood floor. Both choices contribute to healthy indoor air quality. Streamlined LED under cabinet lighting and period-appropriate pendants illuminate work surface, and dual pane windows allow in mood-uplifting sunlight, while maintaining energy efficiency. We chose locally made, reclaimed wood furnishings, which means cutting down fewer trees and supporting small artisans.
